Hostess The Mostess?

Sabtu dua minggu sudah rumah kami dikunjungi tetamu pertama. Jeng..jeng..tokey nasi kerabu area Manchester datang singgah tengahari tu sebab dia nak ambik carpet sekali. Iols dah macam bangla jual carpet pulok. Hahaha! Tq for buying the rug Farah! How's it? Hope it could warm up your feet nicely. Sorry kalau berhabuk sikit masa pindah aritu. Farah stay dalam 2 jam je sebab itinerary dia penuh nak visit kengkawan lain pulak kat Bradford ni. Tengahari tu kitorang jamu nasi beriyani kambing dan lauk yang dibeli dekat Pakeeza je. First time rasa, memang sedap. Pakeeza tu supermarket Pakistan, tapi kat dalam ada macam-macam. Ada jual nasi berlauk macam mamak-style, ada roast chicken bergolek siap, variety of pakora & samosa (chicken,fish,vegie,meat) ada desert kek dan manisan, halal butcher dan macam2 lagi. Weekend selalunya kami ke sini sebab pagi-pagi lagi nasi lauk sume dah ready. Pakcik kipas yang tugasnya menjual lauk-pauk tu tengok aku terus cakap 'Malaysia'? 'Apa khabar'? 'Berapa? 1?2?' dan 'Jumpa lagi'!. Hebat kau! Hahahah!

Hari Isnin, 2 hari selepas tu Kak Izu pulak singgah. Diorang sefamily dalam perjalanan dari Durham. Cuti-cuti UK..hehe! Rumah kitorang ni kalau visitor nak datang kena bagi special guide sebab postcode rumah tak keluar dalam satnav, sebab new housing area. Tapi diorang berjaya gak sampai dalam pukul 6.30 petang camtu. Tapi tak susah kan..gelap2 pun sampai jugak. :) Aku masak simple je sebab kak Izu bagi short notice..hahaha! Petang ahad baru tau dia nak datang maka kujamu nasi berlauk daging masak kicap berkerisik,salad dengan ikan bawal 3 rasa aje. Nasib ada starter chicken tikka spring roll. Tapi yang paling seronok tentulah Fahim Zidane. Masa Farah datang Fahim seronok main dengan Awisy. Time Kak Izu pulak riang sungguh main dengan Zahin, Iris dan Zafri. Sampai sedih2 la time nak balik tu. Thank you for visiting us guys! Dan time kasih buah tangan anda :)

Hari Sabtu lepas pulak warga bapa-bapa di Bradford ni ada main futsal. Kaum ibu yang datang cuma iols dan kak Salmi. Kebetulan Kak Salmi ada anak sebaya Fahim. So dapatlah Fahim cuba-cuba nak bersosial lagi. Kat tempat futsal tu ada indoor play area untuk kids dan toddler. Best pulak.

Balik dari main futsal pegi ambik frozen karipap kat rumah Hairul/Dell. Rupa-rupanya dekat je ngan umah Kak Nur. Bro Azhan ajak singgah masuk, ingat nak salam je ngan Kak Nur rupa-rupanya langkah kanan. Ada Kak Husni dari Huddersfield sama sebab husben dia main futsal jugak. Kak Nur jamu nasi kerabu..amboi, tak malu kitorang ter'dinner' pulak kat situ. Hahaha!. Time kasih Kak Nur.

Dah ada kesempatan jumpa Kak Nur & Kak Husna, maka sempatlah buat mesyuarat tingkap tentang housewarming kita. Dapatlah gambaran sikit nak masak apa, berapa orang, maklumlah duduk kat Stapod tak ramai sangat. Nanti saya announce date dan invite kat Rumpun/Muslimat Bradford. 

Geng Stafford bila nak mai? Nak iols buat housewarming party gak ke? Kena bawak gitar la baru leh suruh vocalist 13 Beaconside, Intan Wee buat sesi akustika. Kami dah berjiran (jiran la sangat Bradford-Leeds). Heh!

Notts Game 12' Pendedahan awal bolasepak buat lil' Zidane

Salam to all readers. Cewah..macam formal jek bunyi. Last saturday kitorang pegi Nottingham University, acara setiap tahun kat sini ape ke lagi kalau bukan Notts Game. Pernah baca kan al kisah ahkak masuk netball kat Notts Game dulu. Tu tahun 2010.. Tahun paling meriah bagi warga Stafford sebab dapat hantar team bola, netball, basketball, congkak, batu seremban dan chess. Siap berkonvoi ramai2 dari Stafford ke Notts. best betul..Misi utama bukanlah nak menang sangat pun tapi lebih terarah pada nak beli juadah malaysia sebab banyak stalls jual kuih2 tradisi, sate dan nasi kerabu/dagang.. hihi..

Dua tiga minggu lepas, incek zaid dah hint2 nak suro jugak ai dan fahim zidane ikut gi Notts Game. Ai bukan ape..kalau cuaca kat luar tu sepoi2 bahasa oklah sesangat kan. Ini..pheww...tangan tu mcm rasa letak dalam peti es beku. Tapi mengenangkan keinginan beliau untuk memupuk semangat bola kat anak dia (padahal kecik lg pon), aku pegi jugaklah. Support laki kekdahnya. Pukul 6 bangun siap2 kan Fahim, pastu gerak dari rumah dalam 7.30 pagi. Sampai dalam 8.45 pagi.. All the way si Zidane........

Si supporter kecik. Tedo jek..Simpan energy japgi nak jadi tukang sorak daddy.

Sampai je ai nampak students jual kuih muih. Terus ajak Shida gi beli. Sedap gak karipap sardin,karipap daging dengan roti sosej dia. Patut aku pun bukak bonet keta jual nasik lemak sure laku hoi..gerai dia takde competitor langsung. 

Si Zidane awal2 ok lagi. Pastu sejuk gamaknya..Aku bawak dia lepak dalam keta. Bfeeding jap, pastu main2 dengan dia. Sejam pastu zaid datang cakap diorang qualified ke next round. Tapi lepas kira mata semua ada team lain yg layak.. OK, misi mencari makanan pulak.*eksaited mak.

Malangnya tahun ni tak sebest tahun2 lepas sebab tak banyak gerai dan pilihan makanan. Stall nya sikit, beraturnya panjang ya rabbi..dapatlah beli kuih sikit tapi byk dah habis.Kitorang ingat kalau menuju ke masjid kat Notts tu mungkin la ada banyak halal restaurant ke,takeways ke. Hampeh juga..(kami pun takmo sesat larat) Maka pulang jelah ke kampung halaman Stafford beli al Karim special sudey.. 

Sempatla bergambau kat Notts Uni..berlatar belakangkan daun luruh yang keemasan.. :)

The Olympic Torch Relay& Picnic

Sebelum cerita ni basi (sebab pic dah lama taruk kt pesbuk) baik aku story mory..

2 days before my parents fly back to malaysia, they got the opportunity to see the olympic torch relay that came across our Stafford town. Tetiba yang paling teruja akulah sape lagi. Haha.. So we planned to have a picnic in the park afterwards. So what was the food that have been prepared for the picnic? No..not sandwiches, but they were pulut kuning and rendang ayam and also some keropok ikan. Mak aku cakap pulut kuning tu as a significance of habis confinement la kiranya..macam khatam quran le pulok..hahaha!

Then we walked to the town (which is just 5 mins walk) and we saw crowds were already lining the street to cheer on our local torch bearers.. Bersemangat sungguh rakyat jelata Britain neh.. Time nih daddy still in the office and he promised to meet us there. Memang just on time la, sampai jek parade pun start.

Fahim mula-mula hokey jew..tak lama pastu mula nak hok-hek hok-hek..dia dah start engine dah. Rupa-rupanya dia poo-poo. Hadui..mummy tengah syiok semangat nak tengok org bwk obor ni sayang oi.. seb bek we stand in front of tesco pum station. Terus tolak stroller dia pi situ. Daddy also came at the same time, so mummy pass baton the job as photographer while me cuci Fahim's vontot. Suddenly i heard the crowd cheering loudly..it was the torch bearer who just arrived.. Huwaa...mummy missed it! Sebab time tu mummy tengah lap vontot Fahim! Takde gunanya aku panjangkan leherku yang jenjang sebab crowd memang ramai..tak nampak langsung. Daddy jugak yang lucky. Datang lambat then terus dapat tengok. Nasib baik daddy snap kan gambar2 the torch relays. sobs..sob..

After watching the torch relay, we walked to the Victoria park (it is just across the road). To my surprise, there were many people had their picnic as well. We quickly find a best place to sit on. Siap berbentang tikar piknik kau..

p/s Selamat menonton Euro 2012. Saya sokong Holland (sebab ada Arjen Robben).Maklumla,dia iras Zinadine Zidane ku dulu..kuikui.. :D

Please do not be surprised with the title above. D&J is just a short form for Danila & Jerul, our former neighbour (if you still remember).

I received a phone call from Dalina on last Sunday afternoon. She and Jerul were visiting friends at few rows from our house. I told her that zaid and i are just about to go jogging (and cycling) and promised that we'll meet up at the friend's house afterwards. It was very sunny and breezy afternoon. We went out merely to get a breath of fresh air plus exercises at the same time. Sorry, no picture of zaid jogging while i was cycling behind. Been busy changing the gear, when got time to snap2 maa? :p

We done about 0.8 miles and we stop for a while at our friend's house. The D&J was there, sedang berkaraoke! :) Soon after we reached home, the D&J came and four of us had tea time together.

What were they eating? It was garlic bread topped with vegie minced meat & mashed potato.

And wii dance became more fun when two dance crazes had their groove together, off their pace and back to front. Yeah, let's groove baby! :)

Pagi Ahad lepas,after breakfast i dan incek hasben nak keluar la jalan2. Sungguh girang rasa hati nak keluar sebab cuaca terbaek..sudah mau summer. Dengan confident naik keta, baru je nak keluar dari segitiga emas stafford (mcm KL le pulok), terus jammed.. haiyoh. Ape pasal?

... and end up with terpaksa duduk dalam kereta berjam-jam.. ramai kot runners, panjang giler nak tunggu diorang habis seberang jalan baru kereta boleh jalan. Nama je duduk kat town centre, tapi boleh tak tau ada marathon hari tu. Duh... -_-'

Mari Bersokan di Malaysian Notts Games 2010

It was a day which I could say 'flashing back memories' of my old days when I once was a netball player.I didn't expect that i could play well again. :p

Usually,i just accompanied my husband when he and the boys were playing for football or futsal.However,this time Stafford University have sent more teams and players to play in the event.I am proud to say that we had futsal team,basketball team,netball team,congkak,batu seremban and chess players.And i was in netball team..ehem.

I was once in the defender's position,and again this time i played as a GD (Goal Defender).Sebab i tinggi kot..haha.My friends and i were starting the training couple of weeks before,and little problems had occur during the process such as not enough players and so on n so forth..but we still have our spirits to make it.

On the 27th October 2010,we convoyed to Nottingham University with 10 cars!That's quite a big numbers actually.Arrived around 7.15 am and after the registration done,we agree that everyone go to their own pitch.So hubby needs to send me to the netball pitch first before he's going to the futsal.This is how the big crap started.We couldn't find where the pitch was and we had wasting our time to pusing-pusing around the campus.There were no sign or banner to say about netball AT ALL. We (with 2 cars behind us) drove back to the registration place and asked one of the ushers.But he was suggesting us to take a shuttle bus to ferry us to the netball pitch.So all the girls pun turun kereta and took our bags walked to the bus stop.Suddenly we spotted a pitch where many girls were playing NETBALL! We quickly went to ask one of the urusetia and after checking the list,she said "Oh,your team must be in the B group so please go to the another picth" (the one yang cari tak jumpa2 tu). Boleh macam tu? Grrrr! Macam manalah diorang plan group A main sini,Group B main kat tempat lain yg jauh tah mana2..adoii.

In short,we managed to find the pitch for Group B (which was outside the campus and nearby park ape ntah) by squeezing 11 of us in 2 cars. Because encek zaid dah gone pergi futsal (he thought we gonna take the bus). On our way the urusetia called us and she said team Stafforshire should be here right now coz we might start the game in 5 minutes. D**m what? So kelam kabut,and tambah malang,once we arrived we never had the chance to warm up or stretching. Terus masuk padang main.. Maka tidak usahlah hairan jika ramai yg injured dan menerima kekalahan yg teruk T_T. Nevertheless, we still had fun especially when we won 1 game of all 6's.. hehehe..

Furthermore,that was our first experience playing at Notts Games.What do you expect kan? After we finished all the games,time to 'mencekik atau melahap'..lalu all of us dengan senang hati go to the place where people selling all malaysian food. I ate nasi lemak,tapau a murtabak daging and drink cendol tapi tak sedap. Seb baik dah nak balik Malaysia so boleh dimaafkan.hahaha!

We Are The CHAMPIONS!!! Hoorayyy!

Finally....the Stafford team made it.They really made their dreams came true.After all the obstacles they went through,the boys have proven they were good enough to be a champion.Pheewiitt! Hebat! Memang tak sangka sungguh..and for Zaid (n maybe to all Stafford FC footballers) inilah piala Champion pertama dia menang sepanjang menceburkan diri dalam arena bolasepak di UK ni. :)

Cerita bermula apabila sepuluh pemain termasuk aku memulakan perjalanan dengan train ke London.Aku dan zaid stay kat Malaysia Hall kt Bayswater,London selama 2 hari.Malam pertama lepas pekena nasi goreng daging merah kat kafe Malaysia Hall,kitorang jalan2 ambik angin malam kejap kat Bayswater.

Esoknya pagi2 pukul 8.30 kitorang gerak ke Regent's Park dengan tube.Agak kucar-kacir jugak pagi tu sebab time Easter boleh pulak banyak tube suspended.Apalagi pulun la kitorang baca map line tube,dah macam nak hafal peta geografi pulak.wakaka.. :D Kalau nak naik tube kat London memang kena bersiap sedia lah kalau2 tube suspended camni,memang ini perkara lazim selalu jadi kt tube di London.

Sampai di Regent's Park,terpegun sekejap dengan keindahan pagi tu,dengan air tasik yg tenang dan itik angsa yg mandi manda.

Beli nasi lemak..sedap pulak makan nasi lemak sejuk2 tgh padang.Heehee..
